South Sydney Rabbitohs Win the NRL Grand Final 2014

south sydney rabbitohs win

Wow, what a way to finish off the NRL season for 2014. I rarely ever bet much on grand finals and really big matches as anything can happen on the day. Adrenalin and nerves can do funny things to even the best players. After the AFL grand final upset last weekend and the 40+ years between drinks for the Rabbitohs, I wasn’t sure I was on a winner until the fat lady had finished her song and walked off stage. The game was much closer than the 30-6 score line suggests. [Read more...]

NRL Grand Final Weekend

nrl grand final

Down to the final 80 minutes of NRL in 2014 and it promises to be a great 80 minutes. If I was a betting man, and I am, I would have said the Canterbury Bulldogs had zero chance of even reaching the finals but they continue to win the big matches when they have to and they’re still standing. The South Sydney Rabbitohs have looked like grand finalists all season, so it’s no surprise that they’re still here, even if it is their first grand final since 1971. Roosters Vs Cowboys Try or No Try?

cowboys controversy

I thought it was the North Queensland Cowboys time to shine this year and still think the try should have been allowed, but what’s done is done. Johnathan Thurston had a cracker of a game and at the end of the day, the better team lost! [Read more...]

NRL Semi-final Tips

Week 2 of the NRL semi-finals is here and both games look to be beauties. Tonight there’s two in form teams locking horns with the Sydney Roosters taking on the North Queensland Cowboys and tomorrow night we’ll see the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles up against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, both at the Sydney Football Stadium (Allianz Stadium). Both promise to be great games to watch, which also means they’ll be challenging to make money from. I’m not putting big bets on as I keep changing my mind. [Read more...]

Online Gambling Blog: Getting back on the Horse

gambling blog online

Wow how time flies. I was planning to update the Online Betting Man blog everyday and then a year passes without a single post! I started to create a list of Australian betting sites online in September 2013 and it’s now September 2014. That’s okay though, I’m refreshed and ready to get back on the horse after a long spell in the lush green paddocks. I haven’t been betting every day since I last posted but I have been doing rather well this 2014 rugby league season. I haven’t had massive weekends but I have been at least a little ahead each week, so I can’t complain. [Read more...]
